Role Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is hiring a part‑time Lecturer to teach Childcare and Personal Development to learners aged 14‑16 and post‑16 in the Berkshire College of Agriculture. This permanent position runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with a pro‑rata salary ranging from £19,236.28 (T1) to £27,572.23 (T11) per annum, equivalent to £31,633 – £45,341 full‑time.
Start date: Wednesday 19 August 2026. Salary increases with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons in Childcare and Personal Development for Years 10‑11 and Post‑16 PVP learners (Gateway Level 1 qualification and Diploma in Progression).
* Plan, teach and assess curriculum covering child development, health and safety, nutrition, communication and play.
* Adapt teaching for diverse learning needs in partnership with Learning Support Assistants.
* Use regular assessment to monitor progress, identify learning gaps and support continuous improvement.
* Promote attendance, support student wellbeing and embed literacy, numeracy and life‑skill development.
* Serve as a positive role model, effective communicator, and collaborative team player.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong Early Years background and experience teaching 14‑16 or 16‑19 learners.
* Qualifications and experience to meet the salary band (T1‑T11).
* Experience delivering PSHE, personal development or life‑skills programmes preferred.
* Qualified teachers, lecturers, assessors, trainers or experienced Early Years professionals with relevant teaching experience.
