Job Description
* Process invoices and ensure accurate entry into the accounting system.* Handle payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations.* Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies relating to invoices or payments.* Maintain accurate records, ensuring timely and compliant financial data.* Support credit control activities, including chasing outstanding balances.* Allocate incoming payments and ensure remittances are processed correctly.* Work closely with internal departments to resolve queries and provide updates.* Assist with month‑end tasks and any finance‑related admin as required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Interim Accounts Assistant should have:* Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a similar finance role.* Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail.* Confident working with finance systems and spreadsheets.* Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
