Job Title: Future Focus Recovery Worker
Employer: Community Together CIC (as part of the Eastern Staffordshire Future Focus Partnership)
Location: Tamworth and surrounding areas (travel across Staffordshire required)
Salary: £25,350 per year
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, occasional evenings/weekends)
Contract: Permanent – service contracted for 3 years from April 2025 (with optional extensions)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Future Focus Recovery Worker to join our team at Community Together CIC, working in partnership with Burton and District Mind, Burntwood Be a Friend, Curborough Community Centre, and YESS.
This role offers the opportunity to provide vital, non-clinical, recovery-focused support to people with acute mental health needs across Staffordshire. You will carry an active caseload of up to 30 participants, supporting them in gaining and maintaining hope, autonomy, social identity, and wellbeing.
You'll deliver one-to-one and group support, work in partnership with NHS and community organisations, and help individuals connect with services that foster independence, resilience, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold responsibility for a caseload of participants with acute mental health needs.
* Co-produce personalised recovery plans in line with NHS care plans.
* Provide one-to-one and group interventions to support recovery goals.
* Record participant progress using NHS systems (RIO).
* Offer practical self-help advice (e.g. wellbeing, sleep, diet, activity).
* Build and maintain relationships with local services and community groups.
* Accurately complete all administration, safeguarding, and reporting requirements.
Person Specification
Essential
* Minimum 6 months' experience supporting people with mental health needs (including lived or carer experience).
* Recognised Level 2 qualification in Mental Health Awareness (or equivalent).
* Good IT skills (MS Office, data entry).
* Organised, empathetic, and able to build trusted professional relationships.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.
* Enhanced DBS check (with no offences listed in the last 12 months).
* Two references confirming suitability to work with vulnerable people.
Desirable
* Experience supporting people with eating disorders, learning disabilities, substance misuse, homelessness, or complex needs.
* Experience in recovery or rehabilitation services.
* Knowledge of recovery tools such as Wellness Recovery Action Plans, Recovery Star, or Wheel of Life.
* Previous experience of volunteer management.
