Location: Andover
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-4:45pm, Fri 3:30pm
Overtime: Available
Overview
We're partnering with a respected precision engineering company in Andover seeking an experienced CNC Turner with strong Fanuc programming skills—and ideally experience with 2-axis machines, G-codes, and M-codes. If you're a detail-focused machinist passionate about producing top-quality components, join their skilled team on challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls (2-axis experience with G & M codes highly desirable).
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Select and set tooling and work-holding devices.
* Perform first-off and in-process inspections to tight tolerances.
* Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality standards.
* Keep work area clean, safe, and organised.
* Work independently or collaboratively to support continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
* Proven CNC Turner experience.
* Fanuc programming, including 2-axis operations, G-codes, and M-codes.
* Ability to machine steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and other materials.
* Strong understanding of tooling, machining principles, and tight-tolerance work.
* Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
