Overview
The Radiology Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary is looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to join our friendly team supporting our service.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses with clinical duties in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and the Radiology Day Care Unit.
* Assist with sterile procedures, including venepuncture and cannulation.
* Ensure the smooth and efficient running of services by performing admin and clerical duties such as booking appointments on the computerised Radiology Information System and liaising with wards for inpatient appointments.
Qualifications
Applicants should be well organised, have excellent communication skills and be familiar with IT systems. Ideally you will have experience in a healthcare environment and hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience in healthcare.
Working Hours and Schedule
The part‑time post requires flexible working between Monday and Friday, 30 hours per week on a varied rota that includes 08:30‑17:00, 07:30‑15:30 and 12:00‑20:00 shifts on rotation. Days may vary each week, but will be rostered with at least 6 weeks’ notice. Bank holidays are shared among all staff.

* Community health care premises – Millom Hospital, GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe and Ulverston Community Health Centre
Additional Information
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
