The basics: Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Location: Syston - Leicester Industry: Manufacturing - Heavy Engineering/Production environment. Pay: £20.04 per hour working Monday to Friday days. The other engineers work a 4on 4off day shift patter 6am to 6pm and therefore should you cover a shift for sickness or holidays you would achieve £25.06 per hour. (earnings of £46000 and upwards expected with some shift cover) Call out: Call out roster - receiving £20 per call out and a min of 4hrs paid at OT rates for each call out. - discuss further at interview stage. Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role: * To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time. * Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns * PPM's The ideal candidate / Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually: Time served apprenticeship Strong Maintenance background working in a medium to heavy engineering environment beneficial Any fabrication experience beneficial Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc Commutable from: Leicester, Syston, Thurmaston, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough and surrounding areas.
