The role will involve:
* Supporting our clients with all aspects of personal care including washing, bathing, and toileting.
* Administering medication in a way appropriate for the client.
* Preparing meals for clients where necessary.
* Providing support with shopping and light domestic tasks.
* Providing companionship to all clients.
* More complex care is required with some clients e.g. cough assistance and peg feeding, however, full training is given.
The successful candidate will:
* Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
* Have good listening and communication skills.
* Have empathy for service users’ situations.
* Be committed to working as part of a team.
* Be physically fit and in good health.
* Be happy to work in a diverse multicultural society.
* Be aware of the varied needs of people in the community.
* Be reliable - this is essential as people’s lives are affected by our service.
* Be willing to do mandatory training and updates as required.
