We are working with a highly respected and fast-growing London law firm to recruit an experienced Family Associate or Senior Associate to join their expanding team in North London. About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in an established family law department, handling a diverse caseload and contributing to the continued growth of the team. You’ll work closely with clients, colleagues, and referrers, offering expert advice and maintaining the firm’s high standards for service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a broad caseload including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, cohabitation disputes, and nuptial/cohabitation agreements
* Taking client instructions and delivering practical, empathetic, and strategic legal advice
* Building and maintaining client and referrer relationships across the local area
* Playing an active role in business development and marketing initiatives
* Contributing to team development by mentoring trainees and paralegals
* Ensuring compliance with relevant SRA and CQS protocols
* Producing legal content for newsletters and updates
* Supporting a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement
About You:
* Minimum 5 years PQE in private family law
* Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of family law
* Excellent client care skills, particularly when dealing with sensitive or complex cases
* Confident in building and nurturing lasting client and referral relationships
* Experience mentoring junior team members is desirable
* Commercially minded with a proactive, professional approach
* A following or local network is beneficial but not essential
* 2:1 or First-Class undergraduate degree required
