Every day, our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals.
Employment Tax is an important building block for any business. We support businesses and employees with a practical and pragmatic perspective—making their approach to expenses more efficient, training them on how to embed new rules such as IR35, proposing pragmatic solutions when compliance falls short, answering queries on how to best reward and tax benefits and payments provided to employees, and introducing new or updated salary sacrifice employee benefit schemes.
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our successful and expanding national Employment Tax team, with ample opportunities for growth. The role offers full-time or flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
A look into the role
As an experienced Manager within our Employment Tax team, you will:
1. Advise our diverse client base on various employment tax issues, including PAYE and NIC operations on payments, expenses, and benefits provided to employees, as well as establishing employment status (including IR35).
2. Help employers achieve cost savings through more effective pay and benefits reward structures.
3. Manage Employment Tax compliance and mitigate risks, including year-end reporting, NMW, and holiday pay.
4. Assist with Employment Tax reviews, whether as part of due diligence, health checks, SAO, or standalone projects.
5. Play an integral role in the Employment Tax and wider Employer Solutions group, working on interesting projects for a variety of clients.
6. Build the reputation of the Employment Tax team and Grant Thornton through high-quality work.
