Our client, a leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation's most complex challenges, is seeking a B1/B1.2 Certifying Engineer in Doncaster. This permanent role involves leading base maintenance and modification activities on various aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel during Base Maintenance inputs and Modification Programmes
* Certifying fabricated parts and/or modification of structural components on aircraft such as Beech 200, Beech 300 Series, and Piper PA31
* Assisting with complex structural repairs, on or off aircraft
* Conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures
* Removing or installing aircraft components as required
* Supporting mechanical or electrical removals and installations
* Performing and documenting work according to manuals and regulations
* Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
* Adhering to environmental health and safety policies
Job Requirements:
* Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 Category B1.1 Licence, ideally with Beech 200 and 300 type ratings
* Preferably also a UK CAA Part 66 Category B1.2 Licence with Piper PA31 or Group 3 rating and a C endorsement
* Experience in modifications, sheet metal work, structural, and composite repairs
* Proven experience with Beech 200/300 aircraft and Piper PA31 or Group 3 aircraft
* Current safety certifications (initial Human Factors, EWIS, FTS) are desirable
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
* Willingness to travel as needed
* Basic set of hand tools
