We are looking for a motivated Band 5 Occupational therapist to join our dedicated team here at CCICP and MCHT.
We have a fantastic team of highly skilled occupational and physiotherapists and look forward to welcoming you to our team. We have opportunities for education and development across the five care communities based in Nantwich, Sandbach, Crewe, Winsford and Northwich and within the inpatient and outpatient settings at MCHT and within the wider rotational program. We offer a supportive induction, supervision and mentorship programme.
Job Purpose
To undertake assessment of patients, developing your skills and knowledge within a supportive environment. To work as an autonomous clinician, under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists or Occupational therapists as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, making diagnoses where appropriate, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression.
Responsibilities
* Work with a wide range of client groups across rotations, including those with complex and/or multiple needs.
* Collaborate closely with the MDT and provide supervision to less experienced therapy staff and assistants.
* Provide care across multiple sites in the organisation.
* Join the 7‑day service and work within lone working policy.
* Adapt to variable hours/days as required by the rotational program.
* Manage a varied caseload across rotations, demonstrating knowledge, experience and relevant clinical skills with acute, complex/long‑term conditions, falls, orthopaedics, general mobility problems and neurological conditions, discharge planning and facilitation and hospital admission avoidance.
* Perform associated administrative duties and maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office.
* Participate in the urgent care response rota once competencies have been gained.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience of working in the NHS as a student or qualified occupational therapist.
* Car driver with access to own vehicle.
* Computer literate with accurate keyboard skills.
* Knowledge of MDT working and ability to work autonomously.
