Academics Ltd. is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Swindon. They are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to provide 1-to-1 support for students, assisting them in overcoming challenges and ensuring they thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-to-1 support to students, tailoring your approach to meet their individual learning needs.
* Collaborate with the class teacher to ensure the student receives effective 1-to-1 support throughout lessons.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for the student through dedicated 1-to-1 support.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to support the student’s learning style during 1-to-1 sessions.
* Offer emotional support and guidance to the student during 1-to-1 sessions, helping them manage any challenges they may face.
* Assist with classroom organisation and help the student stay focused and engaged with 1-to-1 attention.
* Provide constructive feedback to both the student and the teacher after each 1-to-1 session.
* Maintain clear records of progress during 1-to-1 support sessions to monitor and report on the student’s development.
* Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a seamless integration of 1-to-1 support within the classroom.
* Ensure the student’s emotional and academic needs are met through consistent 1-to-1 attention.
What We’re Looking For as a Teaching Assistant :
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly during 1-to-1 sessions.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students on an individual basis.
* Flexibility and a proactive approach to providing 1-to-1 support tailored to each student’s needs.
* A genuine passion for supporting young learners and helping them thrive academically and emotionally through 1-to-1 support.
What We Offer Teaching Assistants :
* Competitive pay (£83.50-100 per day).
* Immediate start available.
