Multiskilled Engineer

Hours: 1st Position – Mon‑Fri 7am‑4:30pm, 2nd Position – Tue‑Sat 8am‑5:30pm
Location: Bodmin

We’re looking for a Multiskilled Engineer who’s ready to make an impact, drive improvement, and be part of a supportive, high‑performing engineering team. Responsibilities
* Respond to mechanical and electrical faults quickly to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Spot issues before they become problems and deliver practical, effective fixes.
* Get to know all areas of the factory and become a go‑to expert.
* Work closely with production teams to understand their needs and deliver great service.
* Drive improvements using tools like 5S, SMED, TPM, CI and data‑based decision‑making.
* Ensure all work meets quality standards, including CCPs, HACCP, core procedures, and customer specs.
* Follow issues through to completion and share learnings with the team.
* Make sound engineering decisions that balance safety, efficiency, and production impact.
* Support environmental responsibility by helping reduce waste and environmental impact.
* Play a vital role in achieving engineering KPIs and overall factory performance.
Qualifications
* Strong multiskilled background (mechanical & electrical).
* Ability to understand, interpret, and produce technical information.
* Confidence in analysing data and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Experience using CMMS systems and preferably AutoCAD (ACAD).
* Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office and in‑house operating systems.
* A strong safety mindset: risk assessments, safe systems of work, permits to work, PUWER.
* A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work well within a team.
