JOTA Composites are currently looking for a hands-on Production Manager with composites manufacturing experience to take full ownership of our end-to-end production operations. In this role, you'll oversee everything from DFM/design concept support through to production and delivery of complex composite structures, ensuring components are manufactured to exacting customer specifications and in line with our environment, health, and safety standards.
As Production Manager, you'll oversee a team currently 18-strong, scaling to 40, and play a key role in developing team capability, structure, and performance. You'll be the go-to leader for liaising directly with customers on-site, resolving production-related queries, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to quality, and within budget.
Working closely with engineering, supply chain, and sales teams, you'll be accountable for meeting delivery, quality, and productivity targets while driving continuous improvement across operations.

Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, inspire, and manage a team of supervisors and operators.
* Review team structure, recruit top talent, and ensure effective succession planning.
* Set and monitor team targets and KPIs, driving accountability and performance.
* Create and deliver training and development initiatives to upskill staff and promote career growth.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers visiting site, addressing all production-related queries.
* Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and sales to meet project requirements.
Production Management
* Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
* Drive operational excellence by optimising workflows, improving processes, and reducing waste.
* Ensure products meet stringent quality standards through robust quality control practices.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting
* Oversee inventory management, ensuring raw materials, WIP, and finished goods are well-controlled.
* Ensure equipment is maintained for maximum reliability and performance.
* Report monthly KPIs and production metrics to Directors and senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven composites manufacturing experience is essential.
* Demonstrated experience as a manager of supervisors in a production/manufacturing setting.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Excellent customer-facing communication skills, confident in liaising directly with clients.
* In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, production planning, and MRP systems.
* Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with work-in-progress/production schedules.
* Technical expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
