Job Description
We're looking for a Digital Copywriter to join our business. You'll work collaboratively with business and customer-focused teams to support the development, management, and maintenance of Digital Content across the Legal & General digital estate to make our online content findable, simple, and easier for our customers and employees to understand. The role involves copywriting and website editing and delivering experiences around user needs, using SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to maximise content performance.
What you’ll be doing:
* Developing clear, user‑focused copy for internal and external digital channels
* Writing, editing, proofing and publishing content that supports customer and colleague needs
* Creating content in line with accessibility standards, brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
* Optimising content for search by applying metadata, keywords and SEO best practice
* Supporting teams in monitoring digital content performance and identifying improvements
* Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and gather accurate information
* Ensuring content meets governance, approvals and Consumer Duty obligations
* Contributing to continuous improvement across content processes and digital user experiences
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
* Experience in copywriting, content creation or PR (or working towards a relevant qualification)
* Ability to produce clear, concise and engaging copy for digital environments
* Understanding of CMS tools (Episerver desirable) and digital content workflows
* Awareness of accessibility, web usability and content best practice
* Basic understanding of SEO principles and how to write user‑centred, jargon‑free content
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of colleagues
* Ability to analyse content performance data and support recommendations
* A collaborative approach, openness to feedback and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
