Job Title: Social Worker - Community Team Location: Worthing - West Sussex County Council Rate: £38 per hour An exciting job role has recently become available at the West Sussex County Council. They are looking for a new member for their Community Team. This role offers £38 per hour with 37 capped hours per week. It’s highly flexible allowing a 50/50 split between working from home and undertaking visits. Responsibilities: Working with frail, elderly people and older people with mental health needs, and those needing/placed in residential and nursing care homes. Carrying out Care Act assessments and mental capacity assessments, understanding the financial assessment process, and strengths-based working. Following processes and managing conflict in terms of difficult conversations about management of resources. The role requires experience in working with frail, elderly people and older people with mental health needs, experience of carrying out Care Act assessments and mental capacity assessments, and a good understanding of the financial assessment process. Additionally, the role requires strengths-based working, good process-following skills, and the abiity to manage conflict.
