Working for our bulk fuels storage client, this is a newly created role working closely with E&I Superintendent providing Instrument and Electrical Support in the Gareloch and other Scottish fuel sites.
Salary up to £44,000

You will provide reactive, inspection and preventative maintenance activities across a variety of critical equipment including LV electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, switch gear, fire alarms, Basic Process Control Systems and instrumentation, ensuring that all aspects of work are executed on time and in full compliance with company standards and UK/European legislation. This may also involve concurrently overseeing Electrical & Instrumentation contractors who conduct engineering projects and maintenance activities on depot assets.
Regular travel with overnight stays will be required, therefore a full (preferably clean) driving licence is essential for this role.
Other aspects to the role
* Line Management of the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Technicians,
* Deputise for the EC&I Superintendent when required,
* Lead a team of EC&I Technicians and work with the relevant Depot Engineer,
* Be responsible for ensuring the compliance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule for Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical maintenance/inspections for all assets via Agility (CMMS),
* Oversee and lead maintenance and inspection upgrade programmes for all Instrumentation and Electrical systems across the company Assets,
* With the support of the Instrument & Electrical Superintendent be responsible for the development and periodic review of management of safety instrumented systems and procedures,
* Write, Implement and Review Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance related procedures and safety instructions to ensure compliance to Statutory, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Relevant Good Practice to ensure the client meets obligations under COMAH legislation,
* Identify and initiate Management of Change processes where there is a change to procedures, plant & equipment, people, or substances,
* Conduct audits on Instrumentation and Electrical systems, equipment and maintenance strategies to ensure compliance with internal / external standards and maintain audit readiness. This will include compliance.
* Provide Instrumentation and Electrical engineering assistance to supervisors / Depot Engineers and Technicians around fault finding and repair of plant and equipment.
Your experience
You willbe an experienced in Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance supervision, who is able to demonstrate strong leadership, positively engage all stakeholders, and have extensive knowledge around Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Maintenance and Inspection Processes.
You must have completed a recognised Engineering Craft / Technician discipline apprenticeship around Electrical or Control & Instrumentation or equivalent. In addition, a minimum technical qualification of ONC / HNC in a relevant subject combined with 5 years post apprenticeship industry experience is required.
