Academic Support Administrator
This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately until April 2027. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
Salary will be £30,628 per annum pro rata on Grade D subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
* Diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for Heads of Department.
* Expense claims and purchase orders in compliance with university financial and HR policies.
* Onboarding new starters and managing office operations including room bookings, IT equipment, and parking permits.
* Coordinating Vivas, Programme Boards, internal events, and guest speaker series.
* Temporary staffing and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PTA) administration.
* Producing the fortnightly UEBS newsletter and scanning/distributing MCQ results.

* Proven administrative experience in a busy, people‑facing environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confident handling of financial processes and purchasing procedures.
* Able to manage a varied workload and shift priorities when needed.
* A team player who is approachable, reliable, and happy to help wherever needed.
