1809 - Senior II Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Band6 Physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Out-Patients and inpatientOrthopaedic team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a 30 hour fixed term/secondment opportunity. This opportunitywill allow the postholder to join a rotation that covers OutpatientMusculoskeletal / Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics and Fracture clinic.
The Physiotherapy Team is proactive in providing a holistic service,working within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure our patients receive highquality intervention, achieve their rehabilitation goals and are safelydischarged in a timely manner.

Applicants should be capable of undertaking a mixed caseload of musculo-skeletal conditions, including Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Paediatric conditions of varying complexity. The post will include a specific focus on assessment and intervention following upper limb trauma / surgery.
Main duties of the job
You will work with both the In and Outpatient Physiotherapy Teams and should also be able to work autonomously andeffectively within the wider multidisciplinary team. You will supervisestudents and junior members of staff where necessary, and on occasions deputisefor the Band 7 Physiotherapist. You will also contribute to in-service trainingand undertake staff appraisals.
For this role you will be HCPC registered,hold a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy and show evidence of relevant andrecent post-graduate NHS experience; having completed a variety of rotations atBand 5 level including musculo-skeletal out-patients/orthopaedics,medical/surgical/ITU, neurology.
You will demonstrate a high standard ofclinical work and evidence of continued and relevant learning and development.
The role will require you to play an activepart in service development and improvement, with a view to shaping effective patientcare pathways and best practice.
The successful applicant will have excellent team working skills and possess stronginterpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with colleaguesand patients, as well as being able to work alone.
Flexibility of working times andpractice is essential which will include 7 day working, evening and weekendworking.Participation in the Respiratory oncall rota is necessary as part of this post.

Experience
* Post-graduate clinical experience having completed a junior rotation across a wide variety of areas (including musculo-skeletal/orthopaedics)
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and training in relevant area.
* Experience of Evidence Based Practice and Risk Assessment.
* Experience of audit/research
* Experience in the NHS in the UK as a qualified physiotherapist.
* Experience of supervision of assistants
* Experience in Paediatrics
