About the Role: As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH difficulties. You will focus on creating a calm and supportive classroom environment while adapting teaching strategies to help students regulate behaviour and access learning successfully. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lessons tailored to SEMH learners Create a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment Manage behaviour using consistent and trauma-informed approaches Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Support emotional regulation and positive engagement in learning Work closely with support staff and wider school teams Monitor progress and contribute to pupil development plans Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable) Experience working with SEMH or in alternative provision settings Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Calm, resilient and patient approach Ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable learners Flexible and adaptable teaching style This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEMH Teacher in Rotherham to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need consistent support and guidance.
