Job Description: As a key member of our Commercial Team, you’ll work cross‑functionally and directly with customers to drive high‑impact commercial outcomes. You’ll support in contract preparation, negotiation, bidding, drafting, configuration, and ongoing contract management. Core duties: Comprehensive Contract and Subcontract Management Support across the contract lifecycle including bidding, contract administration, monitoring compliance, managing amendments and variations, overseeing configuration, and ensuring smooth contract closure with accurate documentation Drafting and Negotiation of Agreements, preparing, reviewing, and refining contractual documents and commercial agreements, while leading negotiations to secure favourable terms and mitigate risks Ensuring contracts and subcontracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with organisational objectives before execution, with attention to detail in approvals, signatures, and record-keeping Building good, trust-based relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, applying a high degree of customer focus to understand needs, resolve issues, and maintain long-term collaboration Providing guidance to stakeholders, supporting business objectives, and contributing to the development of best practices in contract and relationship management Essential Skills: Contract, Procurement & Commercial acumen including knowledge of terms and conditions, types of contracts, and associated commercial risks/opportunities Excellent communication abilities with a collaborative, adaptable, and organised approach Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen client/customer partnerships Accuracy in reviewing contracts, documents, and data to identify risks and inconsistencies The Commercial Team: The Commercial Team works cross‑functionally with key stakeholders to support all submarine programmes. Their responsibilities span contract preparation, negotiation, bidding activities, drafting and writing documentation, as well as configuring and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle.
