Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Finance Manager and become an integral part of a thriving Income Accounting function, comprising a dedicated team of 21 professionals. You will collaborate closely with regional CFOs and Business Partners, contribute to finance automation projects, and assist in the rollout of new systems. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly income-related postings while managing key areas of the team to meet tight reporting deadlines within Gallagher's consolidated Income Accounting function. You will also support the development of graduates and part-qualified students, shaping the future of our department.
Minimum Requirements
* CA, ACCA, or ACA qualification
* Strong people management skills
* Experience with US GAAP and SOX (beneficial)
* Project management experience, including implementing new processes and controls
* Ability to manage priorities and meet challenging deadlines
* Attention to detail and a flexible attitude towards tasks
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
* Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities
1. Manage part of the income accounting team.
2. Ensure monthly results are recorded accurately and within deadlines.
3. Collaborate with regional CFOs and Business Partners on results and reporting.
4. Assist in finance automation projects, including testing and process improvements.
5. Support the rollout of new brokerage systems, including testing and process enhancements.
6. Manage the offshore income accounting resource.
7. Provide analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet for senior management.
8. Respond to audit requests with detailed schedules and solutions.
9. Oversee the offshore processing team for month-end transactions and reconciliations.
10. Build relationships within the Income team and across regional teams.
11. Drive departmental improvements and support staff development.
12. Ensure compliance with SOX and internal policies, including Gallagher’s shared values.
