We are seeking a dynamic and motivated General Business undergraduate placement student to join our Bus & Coach division, based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes.
This position is only available for universty undergraduates, who are graduating after June 2025, and are studying a Business degree or similar.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to key business initiatives and gain exposure to various aspects the business lifecycle and analytics.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Bus & Coach team to provide multi-level support across the business and assist with the day-to-day tasks required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Dawsongroup bus and coach, adding a valuable contribution, whist gaining an overview of all departments.
This role will be a full time office based position, working 40 hours per week. Daily working hours will be 08:30 and 17:30 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
The successful candidate will:
* Assist with external events
* Analyse data and helping key staff to use data to enhance the business.
* Gain a medium depth understanding of the purpose and functions within each of the key business areas.
* Offer practical support to other staff members, including deputization when absent or on leave.
* Receive external enquiries and ensure that are handled or dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
* Gain an understanding of our financial systems and instruments, and be able to use the data to make practical suggestions to benefit the business
* Visit supplier locations to inspect work in progress and report to management
* Any other duties as instructed by the Executive Assistant

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is currently studying a degree in Business or similar.

* Self-motivated and eager to enhance their studies within a dynamic environment
* Must be driven, resilient and able to multitask, with great attention to detail
* Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills will be essential
* Strong analytical skills are highly desirable
* Numerate, computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn company-specific software if required.
* The ability to research, analyse and present material clearly and concisely
