Job summary
As a senior leader within our NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team, the role of the Clinical Assessor Manager (RMN) is pivotal in ensuring that clinical assessments and healthcare management are executed with the highest standards of professionalism and care. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, deep clinical expertise, and a proactive approach to healthcare delivery, ensuring patient care is personalised, effective, and seamlessly integrated with broader healthcare objectives.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead and line manage all Nurse Assessors (Band 6), providing guidance on applying Continuing Healthcare eligibility criteria to determine individual healthcare needs and eligibility for fully funded Continuing Health Care and NHS Funded Care.
2. Carry out verification and Quality Assurance of all DSTs and Review Assessments.
3. Support S117 clients currently managed under Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT).
4. Liaise with the ICB DOLs Team to provide clinical information as required and update the Clinical Commissioning Manager on progress.
5. Undertake Band 7 duties to meet the assessed needs of patients receiving NHS Continuing Care funding, working collaboratively with stakeholders.
6. Coordinate and ensure a timely dispute resolution process, leading Level 1 disputes and escalating unresolved issues to Level 2 where the Clinical Commissioning Manager will take over.
