Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and creative Sales and Marketing Executive to join our team at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club, a 214-bedroom hotel located in the heart of the UK near Birmingham. We are situated in the beautiful Packington Estate, boasting 2 Golf courses, Gym and Spa, The Fairway Bar and Grill Restaurant and the Zest Bar. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be responsible for driving hotel sales, developing relationships, and managing our online presence across various social media platforms. Experience: Previous experience in a Sales, Marketing or Digital media role, ideally within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with the local corporate market, networking opportunities, corporate marketing and social media strategy and campaigns. Basic graphic design or video editing skills. Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of corporate sales for both meeting and events and bedrooms Account management skills Creative thinking. Proficient in using social media platforms and scheduling tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven. Knowledge and experience of Opera would be an advantage. Education or Certification: An accredited Marketing, Business or Hospitality qualification. Relevant experience would be advantageous. Specific Duties Sales Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new business from the local corporate market, whilst retaining existing clients, developing account plans to Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event organisers, and accommodation bookers. Support the events team as required, including conversion of specific events, on conversion days and with market / client knowledge to allow for more tailored proposals Conduct site visits, host promotional events, attend networking events and trade shows Conduct market analysis including competitor set visits, rate shopping on a regular basis Complete a weekly sales report, assist with other reports as required Social Media & Digital Marketing Manage and grow the hotel’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), targeting this to the relevant audience. Create, schedule and publish engaging content (images, videos, reels, stories, posts) that reflect the brand and promote hotel services. Plan and execute social media campaigns for seasonal promotions, events, and offers. Reporting on channel performance and identifying opportunities for growth or optimisation Keeping on top of trends in social, travel, lifestyle and hospitality Create, and roll out Ambassadors Program amongst the team to generate weekly content and check-ins, rewards programme to run alongside. Work with / invite local influencers to the resort for spa/dining experiences, generating new and authentic content. General Work with internal departments (F&B, C&B, Leisure, Front Office and Golf) to generate, leads, on events and to generate consistent content. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and digital marketing innovations. Ensure all external communications reflect the hotel’s brand identity and standards.
