Level 3 Teaching Assistants x 2. Fixed term to August 2026. 16.5 hours and 16 hours per week respectively – term time only. Scale 3, Point 5 - £13.26 per hour.
We are seeking
The Governors and staff of this highly successful school are seeking to appoint two experienced, effective and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistants.
Responsibilities
* To positively impact on infant children’s learning and progress, particularly in the core subjects of literacy, numeracy and phonics.
* To cover a range of classes effectively and maintain high expectations for all pupils.
* To be positive at all times, caring and supportive of all children, with a proactive approach and a willingness to develop professionally.
* To support pupils with special educational needs and encourage them to participate fully in school life and stay safe.
Working pattern
The work pattern for the first post is 8.45 am – 3.15 pm on Monday and Tuesday and 8.45 am – 12.15 pm on Wednesday. The work pattern for the second post is 12.15 – 3.15 pm on Wednesday and 8.45 am – 3.15 pm on Thursday and Friday.

Data may be processed by Newport Infant School and Nursery for equality monitoring, statistics, and keeping employment records. All data will be stored and deleted in line with Data Protection policies.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, in addition to other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024). The role is in regulated activity and requires checks under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations and Childcare Act 2006.
Applicants will undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers, the Disclosure and Barring Service, and the list of those prohibited from teaching or working within the profession.
