Community Support Worker (Ref: E/CSW/B/426) Job details: Hours:25 hours per week Salary: £17,654 per annum Contract: Temporary Maternity Cover Location: Ballyduff Job Background: The Community Support Worker will contribute to the development of local individuals, families, and community leaders by delivering interventions and activities that promote education, employability, health, wellbeing, and community cohesion. The postholder will work collaboratively with residents and partner organisations to maximise opportunities and outcomes for those most in need Main Duties and Responsibilities: Build, strengthen, and maintain positive relationships within the community to address identified needs such as school readiness, afterschool support, and family assistance. Support the delivery and facilitation of programmes, courses, and community-based initiatives as part of a team. Assess the needs of existing and new service users and provide appropriate support or referrals. Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of community action plans. Facilitate and support group activities and other community-led programmes. Deliver community events, home visits, and group sessions, ensuring agreed targets and outcomes are met. Monitor and evaluate interventions and contribute to reporting and outcome measurement. Promote Bryson services using a community-centred approach that empowers individuals and families. Liaise and collaborate with local partners and agencies including schools, churches, food banks, and statutory and voluntary organisations.
