Estimator – Fine Line Sheet Metal Engineering Ltd
Full-time | 40 hours per week (flexible over 4 or 5 days)
From £38,000 per year depending on experience
Responsibilities
* In this varied role you’ll be involved in the whole process of turning customer drawings into finished products.
* Creating accurate quotations using JobBOSS from customer drawings and CAD data – from single sheet metal components to full assemblies
* Reviewing and updating pricing for ongoing production work
* Inputting and analysing data within our production control planning system
* Liaising with subcontractors for finishing and machining processes
* Supporting purchasing activities for raw materials, fasteners and engineering consumables
* Working with customers to review designs and reduce cost.
What we’re looking for
* A background in engineering or fine limit sheet metalwork
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
* Experience with CNC production methods
* Knowledge of finishing processes
* Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and production teams
* A practical, solution-focused approach to problem solving
