About the Role As a 1:1 GCSE tutor, you will be providing tailored tuition to students who are currently not in formal education. You will be working in students' homes or local community spaces to deliver focused support across a range of GCSE subjects. Our students present with diverse needs, including: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties Looked After Children needing additional support to catch up on missed learning Students with anxiety or mental health challenges that affect their ability to attend school School-refusing students Young people excluded from mainstream educational settings Who This Role Suits This role is ideal for: Qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) with experience in delivering GCSE subjects Experienced tutors with a strong background in supporting GCSE students Individuals passionate about helping students overcome barriers to education and succeed academically Sessions typically range from 1 to 15 hours per week, providing flexible working arrangements to fit your lifestyle. Subjects Covered As a 1:1 GCSE tutor, you will support students in the following subjects: English Language and Literature Mathematics (Foundation and Higher) Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Other GCSE subjects, depending on your expertise We work with students aged 14 to 16, with a focus on preparing them for their GCSE exams.
