The Purpose of the Role:
As our Finance Business Partner for New Product Development (NPD), you'll be the go-to person for financial support and leadership for both the Group Product Team and the Group Sourcing and Technical Team. Your work will help drive smart growth across all markets by making sure our new products and sourcing decisions are financially sound.
Alongside your regular partnering work, there are two big projects we're aiming to deliver in your first six months. These are key to setting the team up for success, helping us plan and invest wisely in NPD and sourcing, and making sure we're ready to grow into new regions.
You'll also play a key role in supporting the Global Product and Global Sourcing leadership teams to spot and unlock new growth opportunities. By bringing a clear and consistent approach to assessing the financial health of our plans, you'll help us make smarter decisions, use resources more effectively, and stay aligned with our wider business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with Group Product and Group Sourcing & Technical teams to support strategic growth.
* Lead financial planning and support for two major transformation projects in the first six months.
* Help design and roll out a global NPD financial modelling tool and governance process.
* Set up and manage financial benefit tracking systems with the Sourcing team.
* Provide financial input at key decision points, including investment and NPD stage gates.
* Build and review business cases, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decisions.
* Support leaders in managing costs, monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Develop and implement new reporting to improve commercial insight and decision-making.
* Promote continuous improvement across finance systems, processes, and reporting.
* Collaborate with teams across Product, Sourcing, Commercial, Marketing, Insights, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
* Act as a key member of the international finance partnering team, driving cross-functional collaboration.
Location: This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to other locations of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office
The Person:
Key Requirements:
* Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
* Advanced financial modelling and business case development skills
* Proven experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment with solid commercial acumen
* Confident working with senior leaders and influencing cross-functional teams
* Experience leading financial aspects of strategic initiatives and improving key metrics (e.g. sales, margin, EBITDA)
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions
* Experience driving continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting, or systems
