Powered Access Engineer
The Company
Interaction recruitment has partnered with a long‑established, family-owned organisation operating within the materials handling and powered access sector. Due to their successful growth, they are currently seeking a Powered Access Field Service Engineer to join their current team. The business supplies a wide range of equipment across the UK and prides itself on a close‑knit working environment where employees are valued and supported.
The package:
1. 24 days annual leave + public holidays (32 days overall)

Key Responsibilities
9. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults on powered access equipment
10. Perform routine servicing, LOLER inspections and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines
11. Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding required work, timelines and machine condition
12. Identify and source parts required to complete repairs
13. Complete service reports, job sheets and digital documentation accurately
14. Maintain safe, clean and organised working practices
15. Use diagnostic tools, schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot faults
16. Represent the company professionally on customer sites
17. Build strong customer relationships through technical expertise and reliability
18. Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues when required
Candidate Requirements
Essential
19. NVQ in Engineering (or equivalent)
20. Previous experience as a powered access engineer
21. Strong fault-finding capabilities (mechanical and electrical)
22. Clear and professional communication skills
23. Ability to work to tight deadlines
24. Flexible and supportive team approach
25. Thorough Examination Certificate
26. Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
27. Experience using PDA and Protean software
28. IPAF Licence and/or CAP Licence
