Main Responsibilities
1. Deputise as appropriate for the Quality Systems & Food Safety Lead.
2. Implement Quality and Food Safety systems and programs within operations as per the standards set by the quality governance team, including Environmental Monitoring, MCS, glass control, Allergen Validations, Foreign Body controls.
3. Coordinate the rollout of Quality & Food Safety Training programs within Operations. Ensure all Operational staff receive relevant training and achieve the minimum understanding required for their roles.
4. Conduct daily Standard defect audits to ensure CTQ & CCP compliance to required standards. Perform internal inspections and audits to verify compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, and third-party accreditations.
5. Serve as the primary point of escalation for Operations regarding Quality and Food Safety non-conformances, CTQ and CCP deviations.
6. Maintain data systems accurately and timely to ensure compliance with traceability standards and KPIs.
7. Analyze, trend, and report on Quality & Food Safety RCA & CAPA to address customer complaints and KPI deviations effectively.
8. Implement Quality & Food Safety control plans for projects, including equipment installations, modifications, and process changes.
9. Conduct routine reviews with the Factory Leadership Team.
Candidate Profile
1. Experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment, working with Quality Management Systems.
2. Practical knowledge of BRC, HACCP implementation, and Allergen management.
3. Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels within the business and with external contacts.
6. Experience in supervision, conducting competency assessments, and delivering training.
7. Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
8. Ability to interpret analytical and microbiological data.
9. Willingness to learn new skills and work in a manufacturing environment.
10. Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventative actions.
