Project Planning Lead Duration: 12-months Location: 3 days based in Warwick, 2 days remote Rate: £500 - £600 p/d (inside IR35) Our client is seeking a Planning Lead to join their Network Services team and play a crucial role in the Emergency Services Network (ESN) programme. The ESN will support police, fire and ambulance services plus other public safety organisations in Great Britain, providing them with better technology and faster access to data in emergencies and frontline operations. Within this contract, our client is responsible for the onboarding of User Organisations to the new Network which will support more than 300,000 emergency responders. This is a unique opportunity to work on a transformative project that will modernise the communication systems of the UK's Emergency Services and Blue Light sectors, helping to enhance public safety and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Own the ESN Project Plan, ensuring that all activities enabling the successful completion of contractual milestones are accurately planned and associated resources represented. Maintain the planning templates being utilised by 133 User Organisations in line with dependencies/milestone changes and planning standards. Own version control and communication of changes to members of the ESN Project team who are working with the 133 User Organisations Promote uniformity across the ESN project team, in support of developing the User Organisation plans by implementing knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, or documentation to enable the project team to provide a quality service to User Organisations with planning support. Share continuous improvement opportunities by highlighting best practice. Review 133 User Organisation plans; review plans for completeness & feasibility; including highlighting unrealistic timelines or lack of mitigation planning to enable the project team to hold follow up conversations. Conduct planning lessons learned to support ongoing development of User Organisation plans. Support the wider project team in the delivery of our contractual milestones. Build close working relationships with our customer's delivery team and project management office. Who You Are: Experienced project planner, proficient in the MS Suite of planning tools, MS Excel, MS project and MS Planner (optional). Strong communicator, capable of engaging and influencing peers, senior leadership team and customers. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate and resolve blockages. Significant experience of working as part of large programme, engaging multiple stakeholders with often diverse delivery support requirements.
