Description
As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, making you the face of our brand for people worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with emergency services on behalf of customers.
* Provide emergency support to vulnerable or elderly customers.
* Handle installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for home and business customers.
* Perform high‑rise and gas safety regulation surveys.
* Fit cooker safety valves.
* Work on a shift pattern rota (averaging 40 hours per week) that includes weekends and unsociable hours.
* Maintain a full valid driver’s licence.
Experience and Qualifications
* Be able to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
* Have strong knowledge of gas systems, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
You must have a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification. A MET1 qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. Experience working within a gas environment, including testing, purging, and commissioning pipework, is required. Understanding of standards, legislation, codes of practice and health & safety is also essential.
