Overview
Drivers Mate – Rochester. Join our team as a Drivers Mate supporting the home delivery of kitchens – a physically demanding but rewarding role. Working as part of a 2-person crew, you’ll assist with deliveries and unloading, communicate with customers, and ensure accurate delivery records.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the delivery and unloading of goods to customers’ rooms of choice
* Make customer calls with ETAs and record all deliveries accurately
* Ensure deliveries are completed within allocated time windows
* Scan all products on delivery
* Report any parking issues immediately to delivery support or transport office (record required to avoid liability)
* Follow training and safety protocols — all vehicles are equipped with cameras for security and monitoring
Requirements
* DBS check required
* Good timekeeping and reliability essential
* Must have own transport (early start times between 4:00am – 6:00am)
Details
* Location: Maidstone, Kent
* Salary: £13.00 per hour, OT on 6th shift
* Hours: Guaranteed 48 hours per week (overtime paid on 6th shift only); Shifts up to 12 hours
* Schedule: Monday to Friday (contract states any 5 from 7 days); flexibility during busy periods
* Starting times: 4:00am – 6:00am
* Holidays: 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays; site closed over Christmas; holiday must be reserved for this period
* Areas Covered: Kent, Sussex, London, Surrey, Hampshire, Oxford
