CompanyAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Group Finance Manager to join a dynamic, international business based in the Macclesfield area. With operations spanning the UK, Australia, the US, Africa and the Nordics, the company manages a portfolio of subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions. As part of a small but highly skilled team, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing and professionalising the finance function, with full ownership of financial reporting and compliance across the group. This is a rare chance to step into a highly autonomous, technically demanding finance leadership role, offering both strategic input and hands-on involvement.Key Responsibilities• Full ownership of group financial reporting, including quarterly consolidated management accounts and year end statutory reporting• Preparation of consolidated group accounts across multiple entities and international branches• Leading the annual budgeting process and integrating budgets into reporting cycles• Managing UK and overseas tax compliance (with external advisers), including VAT, corporate tax and employee-related filings• Oversight and execution of monthly payroll• Leading the audit process and liaising with external auditors• Managing and maintaining accounting systems and controls • Recruiting and managing an Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day bookkeeping• Intercompany invoicing, loan accounting and multi-currency consolidations• Supporting the Board with financial insights and strategic planning• Liaising with international accountants in multiple jurisdictions to meet local compliance obligationsKey skills preferred• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent) • Strong technical accounting expertise with a sound understanding of IFRS and consolidated group reporting• Confident managing end to end finance in a lean and agile SME setting• Experience working with multi-entity, multi-currency group structures• Proactive and comfortable working independently, with hands on involvement in both strategic and operational finance• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders and external advisers• Must have full right to work in the UKThis role offers a unique blend of autonomy, technical challenge, and strategic influence in a fast evolving business with global reach.
