Job overview We are recruiting a Pharmacy Administrative Assistant (Band 3) who will play an essential role in supporting our Senior Leadership Team and wider pharmacy workforce. While you may not be directly involved in clinical care, you will be at the heart of a busy, fast‑moving department where your work underpins almost everything we do. This role is ideal for someone who wants variety, purpose, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive, collaborative, and genuinely friendly team. Your professionalism and warmth set the tone for everyone who contacts Pharmacy, patients, visitors, and staff alike. You’ll be helping to build a positive experience for others. When a meeting runs smoothly, a rota is resolved, a patient’s query is answered quickly, or a major project moves forward because of your organisation, you’ll know your work made that possible. Pharmacy is known for its welcoming culture. You won’t be left to figure things out alone, our team is collaborative and committed to supporting one another. We’re looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and genuinely enjoys helping others. Healthcare experience is helpful but not required, your transferable admin skills and your attitude matter most. The Pharmacy Department is a large, diverse, and welcoming team. Whether you already have NHS experience or are looking for your first step into healthcare administration, this could be the perfect opportunity. Advert Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team. Act as a central point of contact for patients, staff, and external agencies. Arrange meetings, prepare papers, and take accurate minutes. Manage diaries, correspondence, and electronic/paper filing systems. Support governance, training, induction processes, and departmental events. Handle data entry, database management, invoices, and procurement tasks. Coordinate rotas, annual leave forms, and key departmental communications. Work collaboratively with the admin team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. Working for our organisation We are proud to be part of BSW Hospitals Group - a formal partnership between the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. With a combined workforce of over 17, 600 colleagues, and budget of 1.6 billion the Group is united by a common purpose to deliver the best possible care to over 1 million people. We are creating a health and care system that works with the people we care for, reducing the differences people currently face in access, experience and outcomes, improving the experience of our colleagues and tackling shared challenges like sustainability and finances. Every improvement we make across our Group will be guided by what creates the greatest benefit for our colleagues, our patients, our communities and our partners. By working together, we make a real difference for our patients, each other, and our community. Every role matters in delivering the exceptional, person‑centred care we’re proud of. We’re committed to a compassionate, inclusive culture where kindness is championed, differences are valued, and diversity makes us stronger. We want to support you to thrive, taking your career to its full potential. We prioritise staff wellbeing – and yes, we even have a pool!
