Be the Person Who Makes a Difference
SEN Teaching Assistant – Yeovil | Full-Time | September 2025 Start
(Flexible start dates and part-time options available)
Do you believe that every child deserves the chance to succeed, no matter their challenges?
If you’re driven, compassionate, and ready to support learners who need it most, this could be the role that changes your life—and theirs.
A number of highly regarded specialist schools in the Yeovil area are welcoming new team members to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with additional learning difficulties such as autism and complex communication needs.
A Setting That Values Progress Over Perfection
Across these schools, every learner is treated as an individual.
The environments are calm, respectful and structured—designed to rebuild confidence, develop emotional resilience and help students re-engage with learning.
Spanning early years to post-16, these schools pride themselves on creating spaces where pupils feel safe, heard and supported.
From smaller classroom groups to therapeutic learning models, staff are trained and trusted to support pupils in ways that truly work. You’ll become part of a team that cares deeply—not just about academic success, but about wellbeing and growth in every form.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and therapists to support students both in class and in small groups.
Your role may involve helping children manage emotions, re-focus on tasks, or simply giving them the encouragement to keep going when things get tough.
Your consistency, empathy and presence will play a key part in helping students make real progress.
