Overview
A new opportunity has arisen within South Staffordshire College for a Curriculum Manager to lead and inspire the Motor Vehicle and Engineering team to build, grow and deliver a responsive curriculum for learners on Study Programmes and Apprenticeships, as well as developing an adult skills offer for the sectors in your remit.
In addition to day-to-day management of the area, you will motivate your team to deliver an outstanding learning experience and drive quality improvements that will lead to high levels of learner retention, achievement and success.
This role requires management experience at this level, the ability to demonstrate current knowledge of the industry, and outstanding delivery of teaching, learning and assessment, with a proven ability to inspire and develop colleagues to achieve such standards.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a college that has invested significantly in recent years and has newly opened facilities in Tamworth that include state-of-the-art Motor Vehicle and Engineering workshops, working across four campuses with provision ranging from Entry level through to foundation degrees and including the latest hydrogen technology and Agricultural Engineering at our Rodbaston Campus.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day management of the Motor Vehicle and Engineering area and lead the development and delivery of a responsive curriculum for Study Programmes, Apprenticeships and adult skills opportunities within the remit.
* Motivate and develop team members to deliver an outstanding learning experience and drive continuous quality improvements.
* Inspire colleagues to achieve high standards in teaching, learning and assessment and maintain current industry knowledge.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Management experience at the required level.
* Demonstrable current knowledge of the motor vehicle, engineering and related sectors.
* Proven ability to inspire and develop colleagues to achieve high teaching, learning and assessment standards.
