About The Role
University Centre Leeds is looking for a dynamic Programme Manager to lead and manage our HE Children's Education and Health department. We seek a passionate individual to ensure the success of our department by enhancing student retention, achievement, and attendance, while providing guidance and support to students and staff. This role will cover curriculum areas including Early Years, Health and Social Care, and Health Play. The Programme Manager will also oversee the nationally recognized apprenticeship for Health Play Specialist and should have experience with apprenticeships to develop and meet external regulations.
What You Will Do
1. Manage strategies to ensure high retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates.
2. Plan, prepare, and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessment plans.
3. Lead the development and implementation of effective teaching and assessment methods.
4. Monitor student progress and implement interventions as needed.
5. Provide support and guidance for course leaders, lecturers, and assessors.
6. Collaborate with Luminate Apprenticeship and Quality teams to develop current and new apprenticeship programs.
7. Work with employers to develop apprenticeships and coordinate placements.
8. Promote our HE offerings with department heads and external stakeholders.
About You
1. Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification or equivalent.
2. Degree in a relevant subject.
3. Possess Assessor and IQA qualifications (or willing to obtain).
4. Extensive experience in managing delivery in Children’s Education and Health.
5. Proven experience in curriculum delivery with active and differentiated learning styles.
6. Experience in workplace assessment and moderation activities.
7. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
8. Commitment to professional development.
9. Experience in staff management and stakeholder engagement.
