Main duties of the job
As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:
* Work in a multidisciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
* Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
* Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
* Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
* Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training
About us
The Nuffield Health Hospital in Hereford is located in the Herefordshire countryside, half a mile north of Hereford City Centre. It offers a wide range of first-class medical and surgical services performed by expert consultants. The Ward consists of 20 inpatient beds, and a busy ACU with elective surgical procedures. We cater for inpatient and day case surgery across several specialties including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Plastics, and more. Our working environment is professional, collaborative and supportive.
Job responsibilities
As a Theatre Practitioner/Operating Department Practitioner (Scrub, RGN/ODP) at our hospital, you will be focused, detail-oriented, empathetic, and have strong communication skills. You will be registered with the appropriate governing body (including NMC or HCPC) and have post-registration Scrub experience in a theatre setting.

Qualifications
* Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and hold relevant qualifications for Scrub/Theatre practice
Experience
* Post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment; team-focused and patient-care driven
