The purpose of this role is to support and further develop the General Internal Medicine service and to provide daily review of patients from unselected medical take, ensuring early review and timely senior decision-making.
Department overview: As a trust, we are proud to host a wider Medicine department with dedicated rapid access clinics in Cardiology, Respiratory, and Gastroenterology. These clinics are co-located with the Accident & Emergency Department and support SDEC, AMU, and Front Door Frailty services. These posts are integral to the Trust's strategy to innovate in managing unplanned medical attendances. The appointee will join a highly motivated team with established collaborative relationships between the Emergency Department and medical specialties.
Candidate profile: The successful candidates will be team players with considerable experience and enthusiasm for Acute Frailty and Geriatric Medicine. The Trust offers extensive undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and maintains strong links with the University of Warwick.
Qualifications: Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council at the time of interview and be on the specialist register for General Internal Medicine with experience in Geriatric and Acute Frailty care.
