Maintaining Continuing Professional Development in line with NMC/HCPC requirements is essential and fully supported within the role.

Develop and implement communication strategies to improve awareness of blood and blood product usage, highlighting clinical governance issues.

Lead quality improvement and audit initiatives to promote alternatives to transfusion and evaluate standards of care.

Represent the Trust at local, regional, and national transfusion meetings.

Investigate serious transfusion incidents, liaising with SHOT and SABRE as required.

Contribute to the Emergency Blood Shortage Management Team and planning processes.
