Main Duties
As a salaried GP, you will provide high‑quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including conducting face‑to‑face and telephone consultations, managing acute and chronic conditions, and sharing on‑the‑day demand. You will be responsible for clinical decision‑making, prescribing, and appropriate referrals, supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team. Opportunities to engage in quality improvement activities, contribute to clinical meetings, and support the wider multidisciplinary team are also available.

Coventry GP is a well‑established, two‑site practice serving over 13,000 patients across Jubilee Crescent and Foleshill. As a teaching and training practice, we are passionate about nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our team includes experienced GPs, GP registrars, nurses, and allied health professionals working collaboratively in a friendly and inclusive environment.
Coventry GP collaborates closely with local hospitals and trusts, offering services traditionally provided in hospital settings, such as diabetes care, sexual health services, mental health support, and carers' assistance.
Person Specification
Essential
* GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Performers List
* Completion of GP training and CCT within the last 2 years
* Sound clinical knowledge and decision‑making skills
* Commitment to evidence‑based practice and ongoing learning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Team player with a patient‑first approach
Desirable
* Interest in teaching, training, or specialist clinical areas
* Experience using EMIS Web
Experience
* Experience of working in a UK general practice or primary care setting during GP training
* Experience providing consultations and ongoing care for patients with both acute and long‑term conditions
* Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
* Experience of using evidence‑based practice in clinical decision‑making
* Experience managing and safeguarding vulnerable patients, including children and adults
* Experience using electronic patient records during clinical work
