An opportunity has arisen for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Access Team in Health Records, Ninewells Hospital.
The Access Team process Subject Access Requests from patients and their representatives and requests from other agencies for patient’s health records related information. This includes scrutinizing the request, collating information, seeking permissions to release and compiling and completing in a timely manner in line with GDPR guidelines.
Applicants should have a good attention for detail, polite telephone manner, excellent oral/written communication skills and good keyboard skills. Daily telephone and email contact with patients, other NHS Tayside departments and outside agencies including Solicitors, Police Scotland and Procurator Fiscal requires tact and diplomacy. Knowledge of Data Protection Act / GDPR as well as experience of NHS Tayside IT systems and MS Office would be advantageous.

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week – Monday to Friday. Fixed Term/Secondment for 6 Months.
