Transport Kitchen/Catering Assistant - Wakefield
Relish School Food are a Fresh Food company, passionate for providing top quality meals to schools across the country, including special needs schools. We recently won the Jamie Oliver award within one of our schools.
The successful candidate must have a passion for service and food, have their own car and enjoy working in schools. We are looking for a Catering/Kitchen Assistant who will support the Chef in the kitchen then transport food from the main kitchen to another school nearby using their their own car.
* £12.21 per hour, 44.6 weeks a year school Term-Time Only (paid for 52 weeks)
* No Weekend work
* 17.5 hrs a week - 11:00 - 14:30
* Own vehicle + clean driving licence needed.
* Mileage paid at 45p per mile.
* Any other expenses paid.
The following role will require you to:
* Transport cooked food from one Relish school to another.
* Support the Chef Manager and team to prepare the food daily - a background in working in kitchens is desirable.
* Serve meals to pupils and staff, parents and governors of the school if applicable.
* Carry out cleaning duties and schedule if applicable.
* Must have a good understanding of safeguarding or be willing to learn.
* And most importantly be a team player and loves engaging with the children.
