Telephone Account Manager | Permanent | Poole (3 days per week) | £35,000 p.a Peaple Talent have partnered with a SaaS business in Poole looking to recruit for a Telephone Account Manager. Our client is seeking a driven, tech-confident professional to strengthen their sales support team. In this position, you’ll build and nurture relationships with a portfolio of business clients, ensuring they gain maximum value from their solutions while uncovering opportunities for growth and upselling. Your day-to-day will centre around engaging customers primarily via phone and online channels, guiding them towards long-term success with their products. By combining customer care with a commercial mindset, you’ll contribute directly to retention, satisfaction, and revenue expansion. Key Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with an assigned group of software clients, engaging with them regularly by phone and online to strengthen retention and growth. Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, implementation, and support to create a consistent and positive customer journey. Gain a deep understanding of each customer’s business priorities and demonstrate how our clients’ solutions can solve their challenges. Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, logging activity, feedback, and sales pipeline information. Encourage greater adoption of their platform by guiding users through features, offering tailored advice, and promoting best practices. Deliver engaging virtual demonstrations and training sessions to help clients, new or existing, get the most from their tools. Spot opportunities to introduce additional products or services that align with client needs and goals. Serve as the go-to contact for client enquiries, resolving issues quickly and maintaining high satisfaction levels. Manage contract renewals efficiently, reducing risk of cancellations and ensuring smooth and continuation of services. Key Experience Required: Previous experience in software sales, SaaS account management, or a similar phone-based role. Practical experience with Microsoft products, SharePoint, JIRA and AWS cloud services. Solid knowledge of B2B sales processes and the ability to manage and grow client relationships. Skilled in using CRM platforms (such as Microsoft Dynamics) alongside virtual collaboration tools like Teams, Zoom, and Slack. Confident communicator with excellent people skills, both over the phone and through video conferencing. Target-focused with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales and retention objectives. Comfortable working with technology and quick to pick up the value and functionality of complex software. Previous experience selling SaaS solutions or working within a fast-paced tech start up (desired). Understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, or enterprise-level IT infrastructures (desired).
