This is a key role within a live healthcare environment, responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing engineering services in line with PFI contractual requirements.If you're a technically strong M&E professional with leadership experience and a passion for quality service delivery, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established FM provider.The RoleYou will supervise a multi-disciplinary maintenance team and specialist service partners, ensuring the effective delivery of PPMs, reactive maintenance, and lifecycle works. Working closely with Trust stakeholders, contractors, and internal management, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and fully operational healthcare facility.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise on-site engineering teams and service partnersEnsure all maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety legislation, Trust policies, and PFI contract requirementsDeliver contractual KPIs, response times, and performance standardsAct as Authorised Person, ensuring Responsible and Competent Persons are suitably trained and appointedLiaise with Trust and clinical teams to prioritise works and minimise disruptionManage permits to work and contractor activity on siteSupport lifecycle works, remedials, costing, and purchasingProduce technical reports and support continuous improvement initiativesDeputise for the Contract Manager where requiredProvide technical support across additional PPP-IML sites as neededWhat We're Looking ForEssentialNVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringIEE 18th EditionExperience in a healthcare, PFI, or similarly regulated environmentPrevious experience as a Responsible Person, Authorised Person, or Competent Person (M&E)Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, PPMs, and reactive maintenanceNEBOSH Certificate or working towardsFull UK Driving LicenceConfident communicator with strong problem-solving skillsDesirableFM service delivery experienceProject delivery experience in commercial or industrial settingsAsset management and condition reporting experienceAdditional Authorised Person certifications (Water, Working at Height, Mechanical/Electrical)Strong IT skills, including Microsoft OfficeWhy Join PPP-IML?Competitive salary and benefits packageStable, long-term PFI contractOpportunity to work in a critical healthcare environmentSupport for training, development, and professional progressionCollaborative and experienced FM leadership teamAbout UsAs part of Compass you\'ll help to feed people, fuel progress and forge connections in around 6,000 venues.
