Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary Senior Programme Manager & Transformation Leader to lead enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, and engineering delivery — with deep, specialist expertise in the UK insurance broking and Lloyd’s market. This role is designed for a high-impact leader who has already delivered multi-million-pound programmes across platform modernisation, data & AI enablement, and operating model redesign. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to one of the UK’s largest insurance brokers, driving innovation, operational excellence, and digital maturity across their broking ecosystem.
1. Enterprise Transformation Leadership Lead multi-stream programmes across platform modernisation, cloud transformation, enterprise integrations, data & AI, and operating model redesign. Translate complex business strategies and target-state architectures into governed delivery roadmaps, phased release plans, and outcome-driven backlogs. Own end-to-end delivery accountability across technology, compliance, risk, and operational resilience — ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
2. Delivery Excellence & Governance Reduce delivery variance by 20–30% through robust governance, proactive risk reporting, and structured release management. Implement integration controls, dependency mapping, and operational resilience frameworks to enhance production stability and system reliability. Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native practices across global delivery teams to accelerate time-to-market.
3. Business & Technical Impact Deliver enterprise integrations across workflow automation, compliance, document management, and finance systems, driving 15–25% improvement in operational efficiency. Lead technical debt remediation and platform consolidation strategies, aligned to business risk and investment priorities.
4. Domain Expertise in Insurance Broking Deep, proven expertise in: Lloyd’s market operations and underwriting workflows Delegated authority frameworks and risk governance MRC slips, bordereaux processing, and claims automation Digital operating model design and broker digitalisation Apply domain knowledge to shape future-ready broking platforms that support scalability, compliance, and innovation.
5. Leadership & Influence Build and lead high-performing, global delivery teams of 40–60 FTEs across onshore/offshore models. Mentor solution architects, engineering leads, and delivery managers to scale talent and capability. Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior technology leaders, guiding strategic trade-offs across cost, risk, innovation, and timelines.
