The position
As the IFS Development Manager, you will lead ongoing changes within our ERP capabilities. You will oversee a globally distributed development team, providing technical leadership, planning, and managing expectations. Your expertise in IFS development and Agile methodologies will drive quality solutions and effective SDLC practices, utilizing modern tools for metrics and reporting.
Reporting to the Global IT Service Delivery Director, you will build and manage a team of initially 5 developers skilled in IFS and Boomi integration. You will collaborate closely with business change leaders, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions.
Accountabilities
* Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of IFS solutions
* Gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders
* Ensure quality and performance of IFS applications through testing and validation
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for successful delivery
* Stay updated with the latest IFS technologies and industry trends
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IFS applications
* Conduct system reviews and performance assessments
* Implement and oversee Agile SDLC, backlog prioritization, QA, change, and release management
* Develop Agile metrics and provide reports to stakeholders
Technical Oversight and Governance
* Maintain deep knowledge of IFS cloud across Finance, HR, P2P & Projects
* Manage backlogs, roadmaps, and change implementation
* Ensure platform security, data integrity, and compliance with policies
* Lead conformance to change management and design authority processes
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Build strong relationships between IT and business functions
* Coordinate with the ERP program team for implementation alignment
* Provide consistent reporting on team workload and outcomes
* Partner with key suppliers for high-quality services
* Stay informed on innovations and prepare RES for adoption
Leadership and Team Management
* Manage performance, wellness, and growth of team members
* Lead resource planning and allocation
* Monitor team skills and develop capabilities for key technologies
* Mentor a distributed team, fostering accountability and collaboration
* Coordinate across time zones for seamless communication
* Promote safety and quality standards
* Align IT services with broader strategy and participate in strategic planning
Experience
* Deep technical expertise in IFS development in complex environments
* Leadership of development teams
* Experience in Construction or Utility industries
Qualifications
* Management of Information Systems or related experience
* Agile certifications such as Scrum Master or Project Management
* Relevant IFS developer certifications
